Greetings Parrot Heads,

Although we celebrated our club’s birthday this past Saturday (June 6th), the actual birthday is today (June 11th)!! It was 31 years ago today that the Parrot Heads of Puget Sound came into existence, so let me be the first to toast you all and say, “Happy Birthday PHoPS”.

Through the years, many members have come and gone. We survived a pandemic and the passing of Jimmy Buffett himself. We have volunteered thousands of hours and raised thousands of dollars for many worthy causes. We cheered on breast cancer survivors, danced at concerts, and made lifelong friends from coast to coast. We also polished off way too many margaritas and Landsharks to count. While the number of Parrothead clubs around the country is dwindling slightly, PHoPS membership remains strong thanks to the hard work of our current Board of Directors and those of you who have served on the Board in the past.

I wish to thank you all for being members, and I look forward to seeing where the next 31 years take us!!!

For any of us who are interested, MOTB has announced the dates for next year’s event. It will be held at the same place, Whiskey Joe’s Tampa Bay, on March 3 – 7, 2027. More information will be available on their website musiconthebay.org in the coming months.
